Comprendre la signification des noms de rues courants \u00e0 Venise<\/a><\/h2>\n\n

En lisant un plan de Venise, vous vous demandez peut-\u00eatre \u00e0 quoi correspondent tous les diff\u00e9rents noms de rues v\u00e9nitiennes. En fran\u00e7ais comme en anglais, les choses sont relativement simples : \u00ab rue, avenue, boulevard, all\u00e9e, etc \u00bb. Mais \u00e0 Venise, la convention de d\u00e9nomination des rues est plut\u00f4t \u00e9labor\u00e9e et enrichie par le fait que vous voyagez \u00e0 la fois sur terre et sur l’eau. \u00c0 la fois exotiques et myst\u00e9rieux, les noms de rues v\u00e9nitiennes ont leur propre signification unique qui d\u00e9coule d’une combinaison du dialecte v\u00e9nitien et du contexte historique. <\/p>\n\n

Via<\/strong> \u2013 une rue, jusqu’ici tout va bien, n’est-ce pas ?<\/p>\n\n

Vicolo<\/strong> – une ruelle. De nombreuses rues \u00e9troites de Venise portent cette appellation. <\/p>\n\n

Vicolino<\/strong> \u2013 une ruelle \u00e9troite. De plus en plus \u00e9troit, on peut parfois toucher les deux murs avec les bras tendus. <\/p>\n\n

Corso<\/strong> \u2013 une avenue ou une rue principale. A Venise, celles-ci sont ouvertes et larges. Les b\u00e2timents de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u00e9passent rarement 4 \u00e9tages. <\/p>\n\n

Calle<\/strong> \u2013 une rue tr\u00e8s \u00e9troite. Plus large qu’un vicolino, mais plus \u00e9troit qu’une Via. <\/p>\n\n

Campo<\/strong> \u2013 un carr\u00e9. Venise en compte de nombreux, souvent agr\u00e9ment\u00e9 de restaurants en terrasse. <\/p>\n\n

Largo<\/strong> \u2013 une rue large. Comme le nom le dit. <\/p>\n\n

Fondamenta<\/strong> \u2013 signifie fondation. Une rue principale bordant un canal (comme le Grand Canal) <\/p>\n\n

Sotoportego<\/strong> \u2013 Comme le Sotoportego del Tragetto<\/a>. Une ruelle basse et \u00e9troite qui passe sous un immeuble. Souvent sombre et mal \u00e9clair\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n

Campiello<\/strong> \u2013 une petite place. Il y en a aussi beaucoup. <\/p>\n\n

Corte<\/strong> \u2013 une petite cour<\/p>\n\n

Piazza<\/strong> \u2013 r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 la Piazza San Marco, la place principale de la ville. Aucun autre espace ne porte cette d\u00e9signation \u00e0 Venise, bien qu’elle soit courante dans de nombreuses villes italiennes. <\/p>\n\n

Ruga<\/strong> \u2013 une rue, d\u00e9riv\u00e9 du fran\u00e7ais \u00ab rue \u00bb<\/p>\n\n

Canal<\/strong> – r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux canaux Grand, Cannaregio et Guidecca. Tous les autres sont nomm\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0rio\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n

Rio<\/strong> \u2013 un petit canal ou un canal secondaire. Rien \u00e0 voir avec la ville br\u00e9silienne. <\/p>\n\n
